Katie Taylor can turn into a world winner when she struggles Christina Linardatou for the WBO belt on November 2, live on Sky Sports.
The Irish star was crowned as the undisputed lightweight winner after a hard-fought triumph over Delfine Persoon at June and currently aims a world title in a higher weight class at Manchester Arena, together with Anthony Crolla’s farewell struggle and Joshua Buatsi’s WBA light-heavyweight title eliminator from Blake Caparello.
Taylor is currently relishing her WBO title clash and fully intends to cement her status as the world’s finest female boxer in the future.
“I had some of my first pro struggles at the Manchester Arena and to come back in November and headline a card there a couple of years on is astonishing,” explained Taylor.
“It is played host to a massive nights in boxing background so I’m honoured to be a part of that tradition.
“it is a new challenge in a brand new weight and something I am very enthusiastic about. I feel as if I have much left to achieve in the sport and becoming a world champion is among these goals.
“There are still numerous huge battles out there for me such as the Amanda Serrano fight, a rematch with Delfine Persoon along with a struggle with Cecilia Br??khus but the very first goal is November two and winning another world title.
“I really don’t have some issues making lightweight so that I believe I can move comfortably between the 2 weights. I always want to drive myself and Christina is a wonderful world champion, so it’s going to be a huge test for me.”
But Linardatou, together with one reduction and 12 wins, believes she can inflict a crushing first defeat Taylor.
“I plan on leaving England with my name,” she said. “If I need to knock on Katie Taylor outside in order to retain the title, that is what I’ll do.”

Mancunian Crolla yields to the scene of his greatest triumph, a stoppage win Darleys Perez to make the WBA belt in November 2015, this year after falling short against unified winner Vasiliy Lomachenko and also the 32-year-old will have one fight.
Ryan Ford in seven rounds ceased at The O2, but should be given a sterner challenge contrary to Australian Caparello, a former world title challenger, who has shared the ring with Andre Dirrell and Sergey Kovalev.
Felix Cash also defends his Commonwealth middleweight title and Gamal Yafai can take another step towards a title in the featherweight division.
“I am so happy to be back in Manchester with this huge series,” said Matchroom Boxing manager Eddie Hearn.
“Katie Taylor is now established among the largest stars in world boxing and she bids to make more history by turning into a multi-weight world champion with hard WBO super-lightweight winner Christina Linardatou.

“Hometown hero Anthony Crolla rolls out the dice one more time as he takes a part in his final fight in the game in the stadium that has functioned so many epic poem Anthony Crolla nights.
“Even the stabilisers are away for Joshua Buatsi since he takes a massive step up against demanding Australian Blake Caparello at a WBA world title eliminator and there’s a brilliant domestic middleweight battle between Commonwealth champ Felix Cash and English champ Jack Cullen.
“There’s plenty more under these four fights on what will be a huge night of boxing”
Adam Smith, Head of Sky Sports Boxing, stated:”We are totally thrilled to be showing the very greatest female fighter in the world back on Sky Sports on this enormous show. This is another significant evaluation for Katie Taylor since the lightweight champion continues to cement her legacy in the sport and takes on all comers.
“Katie is a marvellous ambassador and inspiration for many and we are thrilled to be working closely with her because we look to feature both the best in boxing and in women’s game on Sky”
