Fifth seed Daniil Medvedev attained his maiden Grand Slam semi-final in four places following the Russian downed 2016 winner Stan Wawrinka at the US Open.
Medvedev continued to enjoy his role as the protagonist of this tournament by rapping Wawrinka on Arthur Ashe 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 3-6 6-1 on Tuesday.
