As they have dropped to 1-6-1, which has them in place of their Central 29, dallas has been one of the starts into the NHL period. The Stars have lost four games in a row. Dallas was pegged as a early season favorite to make it to the Stanley Cup, however they will need to acquire on a roster if they want to prevent. The Stars are a staff and I think they will get it moving in the early phases of this season.
The Penguins are away to a fast start since they are sitting with a 5-2 record in position of the Metropolitan Division. Pittsburgh has won their last four games after a 1-2 start. They have used their depth to triumph, although the Penguins are struck to start this year out. Pittsburgh will appear to extend their winning series with another victory over the Stars.

Pittsburgh has been popular as of late, winning four matches in a row against the Colorado Avalanche, Minnesota Wild, Winnipeg Jets, along with the Anaheim Ducks. The Penguins scored seven goals to the Jets and the Wild in these wins. Sidney Crosby leads the team in points with four goals and eight assists. Jake Guentzel gets the team lead in goals with five. Twenty different players have points on this group through seven games, which shows their thickness.
Dallas has not managed to obtain their power play going at all this year. The Stars are shut down on 23 of the 24 power play opportunities, for a disappointing 4.2 percent. Dallass penalty kill has been around the league average, stopping 80.7% of the power plays them. The Stars have ceased 25 of the 31 power plays against them this year.
The Penguins have been doing much better on special teams. Pittsburgh has 6 goals to 26 power play chances, which gives them even a 23.1 power play percent. The Penguins have killed off 14 of 17 power plays against them, which has earned Pittsburgh a kill proportion of 82.4 percent.
The Stars have fought this season, which is going to be a game to turn that around because the Penguins arent a heavily penalized team. Dallas will have to set a limit on the amount of power play chances that they provide to Pittsburgh because the Penguins power play is harmful. If themselves add a couple of man advantage goals or can neutralize Pittsburghs electricity play, it might help them pull off the upset.
I believe that Ben Bishop will be the starting goalie for the Stars on Friday night. Bishop has started the season out 1-4-1. Hes a save percentage of .899 and a GAA of 2.84. Bishop is coming from a Vezina Trophy nomination last season as he had a .934 save commission along with a 1.98 GAA. Dallas needs Bishop to return to that kind to help them get from this slide.
Matt Murray is expected to get the nod in the crease with this particular match. Murray has started the year out with a record in his six starts. In those starts, he has put a .914 save percentage along with a GAA of 2.66. Last year, Murray finished with a listing of 29-14-6 with a save percentage of .919 along with a 2.69 GAA.
Murray has been off to the better start this season, although Both of these goalies are starters. Bishop set up phenomenal numbers last season, but has fought just to start this year out. If Bishop can have a start on Friday night, however, I think that Dallas will be able to pull off the upset.
I believe that the Stars have a good chance to finish the Penguins winning streak with an upset on Friday night. I believe that Dallas will gradually get things going and I think that they will elevate their play. If the Stars solve Murray early and will keep up on particular teams, they could ride it .
