Since the Chiefs beat the Raiders in Week 26, last year, MVP Patrick Mahomes exploded for one of the single quarters in NFL history.
Following Oakland held the Chiefs to their first scoreless first quarter because Mahomes took over as last year and had started a 10-0 lead, four touchdowns threw in the second as the match totally turned around.
Two scores threw to one to newcomer Mecole Hardman, Demarcus Robinson, along with another to tight end Travis Kelce at a spell that was stunning.
Although he didn’t set any records, Mahomes’ 278 yards in one quarter were the most second-most in 40 seasons (behind Drew Brees with 294 in 2008) while Aaron Rodgers was the last QB to throw four TDs in a quarter, and he also did back in 2014.
Mahomes – who was just the third quarterback to throw 50 touchdowns in a season a year – also completed five consecutive passes of 27 yards to end the quarter and half.
Following the flurry of scoring before the break, the two sides were scoreless in the second half since the Chiefs held to their 28-10 victory and moved to. Mahomes finished the match 30/44, with yards, 4 TDs and no interceptions.
