Rodri insists Manchester City have to”wake up” following their shock defeat at Norwich.
The defending Premier League champions stunned despite lacking a multitude of players through 30, as they won 3-2 at Carrow Road in the match on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s side were guilty of lots of accidents – Kenny McLean nodding Norwich in front when he had been picked out unmarked with the lead then interrupting.
Sergio Aguero pulled one back for the people before the break just for Nicolas Otamendi to be redeemed of ownership on the edge of his own box with Emi Buendia, who subsequently squared to reestablish a two-goal cushion.
As Norwich hung on for the win to depart Manchester City five points adrift of leaders Liverpool rodri fired at a late consolation.
“I believe we lost this game because people,” the Spain midfielder told City’s web site.
“I believe they do not do many things to win this game. Congratulations to Norwich, Obviously , they play great soccer, but now we gave them chances.
“That’s something we must appear at ourselves and resolve our errors. It’s not ordinary. The 3 goals are errors.
“The group is functioning, we are down now but we must wake up because we’ve matches every 3 times.”
Guardiola said it is too early in the summer to take into account the defeat as a blow to their quest to win a third successive league name – something Rodrigo consented with.
“The season is very long,” he explained.
“You are going to have matches similar to this, at least two or three. It’s normal. We are not perfect, and the fantastic thing is we are at the start of the year not the end.
“That is the only real thing we could say. We are just five points behind the leaders and that is bad news but we are working and we’ll keep pushing.”
