Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings states it would be a”fitting story” if he ever made his England debut in St Mary’s after he had been discharged by Southampton as a teenager.

“I wasn’t quite big enough, I was not very physically improved enough to possibly deal with the requirements of this match. It’ll be a fitting narrative if I made my debut at St Mary’s and arrived full circle”
Mings included:”I don’t think that it would feel much more or less particular doing it St Mary’s than it would anywhere else.”
