“I have thought about it,” Mings told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“There isn’t a lot that I have not thought of in terms of what could and couldn’t occur. I really don’t have any grudges over Southampton. I don’t hold any grudges over the decisions because if I am totally honest they were justified in the moment they made.
“I wasn’t quite big enough, I wasn’t very physically developed enough to maybe deal with the requirements of the match. It will be a fitting narrative if I made my debut at St Mary’s and came full circle.”
Mings included:”I really don’t think it would feel any more or less particular doing it at St Mary’s than it would anywhere else.”
