It was a night in Dublin that generated plenty of a few fantastic games and drama. We affected some players and saw just how having to start on the dual was tough. It actually does kill your rhythm it must be hated by the gamers but it makes for viewing!
My first choice is??over 2.5 sets??for Glen Durrant v Krzysztof Ratajski. Durrant has even taken the PDC in their own stride considering departing the BDO. His conduct to this Matchplays semi-final proved he was right up there with the big boys. Ratajski is winning the Gibraltar Darts Trophy. He has not quite taken his flooring form and this can be a difficult round evaluation. I anticipate this to be a close game and go the distance.
My pick is your Daryl Gurney match treble. The Northern Irishman won two years ago and certainly will come here full of optimism. His scoring has been among the best in the circuit for several years now and also his doubling is extremely solid. He should have too much for Danny Noppert, whos among the players on display this week although Theres absolutely absolutely no easy game in this contest.
Next up, I enjoy the Appearance of 4.5 180s to get Rob Cross v Mensur Suljovic. The two players are top quality and it needs to be a tie. Cross scores really well and if Mensur is really on a roster he can fire in the 180s. I expect theyll have at least 5 between these, although cross does frequently change to 19s which would be a slight worry.
Finally, I have Peter Wright to win his match treble. The other day, I saw an interview and he sounded confident which bodes well for Snakebite. He has hit on the 180s in most ranked tournaments this season and he always appears to fire in a checkout. Max Hopp is still a good enough player and although his darts and incredibly directly and rarely stray from the 20, he does not strike enough trebles. Wright should have a lot of for him this evening.
